Tell us about your experience at The Dress Theory Seattle?

I had a feeling I would find my dress at The Dress Theory Seattle. I am a very decisive person when it comes to major decisions and I knew I wanted a 90s Calvin Klein silhouette. The second dress I tried on was the one. The Theia Couture “Primrose” gown. I believe my exact words were, “wrap it up!” It’s a gorgeous French crepe with a beautiful flow to it at a shockingly reasonable price point.

Tell us about your wedding?

After touring a few venues on the “west side” aka The Greater Seattle area (the groom is Spokane originally) we found ourselves feeling a bit underwhelmed. Brian comes from a very large family and to accommodate 150-200 people comfortably with an open, unrestricted flow, we needed more space. Then it hit us, why don’t we just have our wedding on our 60 acre ranch property in Loon Lake? The groom was very excited at the thought of a “Yellowstone” wedding! The vision was to blend my “city” with Brian’s “country” through the beauty of the ranch backdrop with sophisticated details we could bring in via our wonderful vendors. I’ve always wanted to have a “big white tent” so we secured a sail cloth tent for the reception space which we had built on the lawn behind the main ranch house. We had our ceremony in front of the pond where guests sat on straw bales which were juxtaposed by lush pink baby’s breath. The inspiration for the pink arbor came from an image I found on Instagram which was from Mandy Moore’s wedding. The pink baby’s breath arbor and the baby’s breath throughout the arrangements and bridesmaids bouquets was one of my favorite details. Our main goals for the reception were for our guests to eat well, drink and dance! Our three favorite pastimes, Ha! We could not have picked a better catering team- the food and service was impeccable. The late night gourmet cheeses were a hit! We turned one of the smaller barns into a speakeasy saloon where we had the photo booth & an additional self-service bar (a nice perk when you’re on your own property), which made for a fun breakaway space from the party. Our wedding day was truly everything we wanted and more Thank you for letting us share a bit of our day.
